Pyro-Jellyfish

Look guys, I've been arting again!  Or, dabbling in basically everything, I guess.    Applying for jobs in sort of tedious--you submit the application and then wait to hear back about it.  So, things that kill time and make me feel productive are awesome.  I've done some simple watercolors too, but I haven't figured out the scanner yet, so yeah...

 

On another note, I went to a Canadian Brass concert on Wednesday.  If you're not familiar with them, head over to youtube and check them out!  They're a really amazing brass quintet (from Canada, obviously--except their current trombone player: he's Greek).  They are outstanding musicians and really good performers.  They certainly know how to cater to an audience.  Their performance was hilarious as well as beautiful. 

 

So yeah...stuff.  Do any of my friends even use this site anymore? lol.

So...it's been a looooooooooooong time since I've done anything on dA aside from viewing deviations and such, which doesn't seem to take very long anymore.  Apparently most of the people I used to watch have outgrown this whole thing or something...

At any rate, I keep thinking I should starting arting again and practice so that I can actually produce something that I think is worthwhile, but then life happens.  Recently, college graduation and subsequent moving back into my mother's house, and the necessary job search stuff.  Thought I might have time to do some sketches this week, since I'm back at school for career day, but writing cover letters and filling out applications is actually really stressful.  So pretty much all I've done in my free time at the hotel as been procrastinate on those.   

On another note, it's wet in Colorado.  About the only consolation I have for how rainy it's been in Denver (aside from the fact that the state really needed moisture--though maybe not quite so much at once) is that it's doing the same thing in my home town, so either way I'd be stuck inside working on applications and such.  If you're going to NDK or the Denver Gem and Mineral Show or anything else this weekend, be safe and stay dry. 

Yeah, this is just me rambling since I have nothing better to do today and my last journal was from 2011. Should probably change my profile picture and signature and stuff sometime...I feel very out of date. 

Well, it's been a while.  Had a lot of issues last year with logging on and getting a virus, and so I finally just stopped trying to come to deviant...but I finally got the courage to try logging in again and I'm back, virus free!  Now to get started on the mostrous project of tackling the message center.

Is a very special day for Xanxus.  It is his birthday.  And not only is it his birthday, it is 10/10/10.  And if I had typed faster, it would have been 10:10 on 10/10/10.  But I did not type fast enough.  Anyway:  Happy birthday Xanxus.  I would wish you luck in becoming the boss of the Vongola, but quite honestly, I'm rooting for Tsuna.

Well.  I honestly have no idea what's up with the title.  I couldn't really think of anything, and I seem to use "ho hum" a little too often as a journal title.  Lollipops and lillypads haven't really figured at all into my thinking lately; they just started with an l.  
Anyway.  I figured it was time for an update, since my last journal was posted in March.  Once again, it's summer, and I have awesome plans of being artistic in my free time.  Of course, we all know how this usually turns out.  I dabbled around with some clay the other day and made what I feel is a satisfactory sculpture, so I might fiddle around more with that, but I do seem to only really do artistic stuff well when it's spontaneous.  Ah well.  
Urm...not much on my mind, really.  Looking forward to a relaxing summer, and hoping to accomplish some things that I hadn't had time to do at school.
